Our Labyrinth

Seeking Peace and Tranquility

Calm and Transform Your Spirit at the Labyrinth

No appointment necessary

The labyrinth is a sacred space designed for quiet reflection and prayer. Its ultimate purpose has always been the same—to create a way to encounter the Holy. It transcends religion and culture, inviting all who walk it to seek peace, clarity, and connection with the Divine.

A labyrinth is not a maze. There is one clear path to the center and one way out. In the Middle Ages, labyrinths offered Christians a symbolic way to make a pilgrimage without leaving home. Over time, the Church embraced this ancient design as a spiritual practice for meditation and renewal.

The Design

Our labyrinth is patterned after the one at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, which follows the 11-circuit design found in the Chartres Cathedral in France, built during the Middle Ages.

Located outdoors to the south of the church, our labyrinth is set apart in a quiet desert space. Here, surrounded by beauty and stillness, you are invited to let go of distraction, center yourself, and rest in God’s presence.

Just beyond the labyrinth lies our Palm Oasis—a peaceful place to continue your inward journey.

Why Walk the Labyrinth?

People walk the labyrinth for many reasons:

  • To find mental and spiritual centering
  • To calm and transform the spirit
  • To release burdens or open the heart to healing

There is no right or wrong way to walk—it’s your journey. Some find it lowers stress and boosts creativity; others experience answers to prayer or moments of deep insight.

Take time in the center to pause, pray, or simply listen to the quiet voice of the Divine within you. Each walk is unique. What you discover may be different every time.

Labyrinth Guidelines

  • Pause at the entrance to center yourself.
  • Allow space between yourself and other walkers.
  • Upon reaching the center, sit, stand, or even dance—it’s your sacred time.
  • Walk at your own pace; there is no right or wrong way.
  • When ready, follow the same path out—and go in peace.
